Acrobatic Artistry: Level 1

The “Dance: The Cutting Edge – Acrobatic Artistry Level 1” video continues to lay the foundation for all future acrobatic work. The students are introduced to more than 50 new skills! Students are introduced to various progressions down the mat, such as Monkey Jumps and Elephant Walks. They will work on more advanced balancing skills, such as Tripods and Elbow Stands, Backbend Tower Stunts, Elbow Tick Tocks, Tailor Rolls, Bridge Variations, and Front and Back Limbers. Every move builds upon all they learned in the “Primary Acrobatics Vol. 1” video. Using our “Acrobatic Artistry” series, alongside our “Extreme Stretch and Flexibility”, “Boost n’ Bounce”, “How-To Tutorial”, and “Ultimate Conditioning” video series’, will craft you into the strong and able dancer you wish to be! 

As a third-generation dance teacher and choreographer, Kimberly Beck Thomson has always incorporated acrobatics into her work. Her first concern is always for the safety of her students in using proper spotting techniques, teaching proper hand placement, and correcting body positioning to achieve proper stances. She has received numerous awards for her innovative and creative choreography and her students are always recognized as having a superior level dance technique, poise, and stage presence. Her vast performance, educational, and choreography experiences have allowed Kimberly the opportunity to help dancers progress safely in their journey to establishing a professional dance career.
