Sample Video
Whether you are looking to further your mobility for dance or just for daily comfort, the intermediate level is for you! It’s a great way to add onto your current flexibility routine and challenge yourself further. As dancers, it is truly important to lengthen all the muscles we continually build and tone. The exercises demonstrated will help the dancer attain a greater range of motion. Breaking everything down for proper technique, Kimberly Beck Thomson has used her years of dance knowledge and teaching expertise to compile an effective and efficient intermediate program emphasizing proper form, body placement, muscle utilization, and timing to ensure that the dancer gets the results they are looking for.
The use of fitness “props” helps the dancer attain greater range of motion. If you don’t have access to our teaching aids, feel free to use your couch, bed or other items around your space – be creative! “Extreme Stretch & Flexibility: Intermediate” demonstrates over 40 stretches to expand the flexibility that applies to all steps that dancers execute. Dancers will work on Chest Arches, Partner Front/Side Extensions, Frog Stretches, Hyperextended Split Straddles, Arabesque Penchés, and so much more!
