Fundamentals of Technique: Intermediate
Sample Video
“Dance: The Cutting Edge – Fundamentals of Technique – Intermediate” was designed for supplemental use with every intermediate level video within the library developed by Dance: The Cutting Edge. It demonstrates the fundamental steps, body positioning, and form as the building block to all dance steps. Every dancer must master proper form, such as turnout, arm placement, feet positions, and much more, to properly build upon in development of progressively advanced steps. Necessary intermediate level fundamentals are included, starting with Flat Back and Demi Pointe, continuing to Parallel/Turned Out Relevés, Pirouettes and more! The series continues in progressive complexity of steps to support the skill levels as dancers progress from beginner to advanced; thus, each dancer should include all levels of this video series in their overall training, regardless of genre.
The creator, Kimberly Beck Thomson, is an accomplished dancer and instructor with a solid foundation of knowledge about the progressive needs in preparing the body for dance training with use of proper foundation to protect the dancer from possible injury.
