“Dance: The Cutting Edge-Ballet Choreography – Memories” was created with original material by Sofia Arencibia award-winning choreographer. Sofia grew up training intensively at Artistic Dance Center where she now serves as the Artistic Director. Sofia performed many lead and pas de deux roles in classic works such as Le Corsaire and Paquita. Sofia’s accolades in national competitions make her a critical component of this video series. Sofia’s fresh approach to the choreography, “Memories”, makes the dancer confident on the stage! The video was developed for a beginner skill level, with creative choreography, implementing the beginner movements and techniques learned within the “Traditional Ballet” video library.

This is an awesome resource for studio owners, dance instructors, artistic directors, and school dance programs! Students receive instruction in the importance of technique, musicality, and the fluidity and grace of ballet movements. Students feel like they are dancing with the teacher right in their own room. This Dance: The Cutting Edge video was filmed using numerous camera viewpoints with high-definition examples of each step, including front view/back view, slow-motion breakdowns, and corrections of incorrect technique. The beginning dancer can start to build their video library with “Memories”.
